The most powerful and expensive in the world production car Bugatti Veyron will get the version with a body targa, which officially will show the public at the Auto Show Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach (USA, California) in August this year.
According to Inside Line, the car will be equipped with a removable hardtop with fabric insert, also Veyron Targa will get strengthened landing gear and electronic speed limiter at around 349 km / h.
As Bugatti has long planned to make an open version of the luxury coupe, but a classic convertible with a folding roof structurally impossible - 8,0-liter 987-horsepower turbo four-W16 occupies all the space behind the two seats, leaving no space for laying the top. Targa version - with fixed rear roll bar and removable roof panels - was recognized as the best compromise.
It is expected that the Bugatti Veyron Targa will be released in a limited series in the number of 75-80 copies. Its cost will be about 2.25 million dollars
